The La Mirada Disc Golf Club is proud to announce the creation of the La Mirada Night Golf! The event will be held on Friday, April 17th at 8pm and then again on Saturday May 9th beginning at 6pm. The
Saturday event will be preceeded by a Club BBQ (bring your own food and drinks). The night golf is not a tournament but is a chance to get together with members of the La Mirada Disc Golf Club, including your new club officers (Indigo Brude, Mike Williams, Rick Ascheri, Casey Yoshitake, and Jerry Ross). The club has arranged for the baskets on 18 holes to be lite during this event. You should bring your own discs (consider using older discs as you might loose them), a flashlight to help you find your discs, and possibly some disc lights so that you can see where your disc goes. The disc lights are available in the Pro Shop during the week. The Pro Shop will probably not be open during this event so please plan ahead to purchase your disc lights. Good Turnout For Night Golf!
We had a good turn out for the La Mirada Night Golf last night. We had 29 players playing. The baskets were well lit and with a disc light attached to your disc you could easily see how close your throw got to the basket. It was alot of fun! I want to thank Indigo Brude, Jerry Ross, Mike Hole and everyone else that helped creating the lights and setting up the baskets for this event.
We will be having another Night Golf event next month. The next night golf event includes a BBQ as well.
