The Back-18 Course Is BACK

That's right, the BACK-18 Course is back at La Mirada Regional Park.

The La Mirada Disc Golf Club worked with the Los Angeles County of Parks & Recreation to get the funds needed to purchase baskets at a much reduced price from Innova Champion Discs. We want to thank Innova Champion Discs for their help, the Los Angeles County for suppling the funds and to the La Mirada Disc Golf Club Board of Directors for working with everyone to make this happen.

The Tee Signs have all been renumbered and the graphics for several of the signs has been replaced. A map is available on the Course page (Click Here).

Ladies La Mirada Pro-Am!

Kenny Ascheri Plays Open?

Well we had a good turnout today at the La Mirada Weekly Disc Golf Tournament. We had 30 players in four (4) divisions, Open (6), Advanced (5), Intermediate (7) and Novice (12). This week we played the new BACK-18 PAR 54 couse. With all 18 baskets in place the BACK-18 is another fun choice. It is very technical if you play all of the boundary and mandatories that are posted... An interesting note is that our own regular, Kenny Ascheri decided to take a chance in the Open division this week. He didn't win but he had a lot of fun playing with our #1 ranked Pro, Bobby Musick. For those that haven't had a chance to play with Bobby. You should come down and play in the Open division. You might learn something.

In the Open division it was Bobby Musick who easily took 1st place

Weekly Results for 8/17/10

We had a good turnout this week for the La Mirada Disc Golf Club Weekly Disc Golf Tournament. We had 25 players in four (4) divisions, Open (6), Advanced (3), Intermediate (xx) and Novice (8). This week we played the Lakeside holes 1-9 and Back Course Holes #1-8, 12/13. We played sidewalks and beyond are out of bounds and we will continue playing this for the rest of the Summer.
